The Shiny Shoes Band is a spicy New Orleans style jazz
band from Saint Petersburg, Florida. Where ever they play
they create the atmosphere of an old tyme New Orleans
speakeasy. The leader of the group, Marius
Dicpetris, lived in
Harvey, Louisiana,
where his father worked on a tugboat on
the mighty Mississippi River.
There, Marius absorbed the sweet
sounds of Mardi Gras and the French Quarter. He and his band
are pleased to bring the feel and flavor of New Orleans to the
Tampa Bay area.
This year The Shiny Shoes Band will release their
debut album
entitled, "St. Pete Speakeasy", with special
guest Buster Cooper,
formerly of the Duke Ellington
Orchestra.
